The discussion was maybe we should go to a more seasonal option, putting them up in the fall and down in the spring. Over time some of them are starting to sag a little. There have been a few times when someone has had to go up on the pole and reset the GFI to get them turned back on, Councilman James Ager said. They need to be on all the time if we re going to keep them up. It s my feeling that we need to do a good job with the upkeep of the lights, said Mayor Landphere. ![]() But some of the light strings have gone out at times recently. The city Public Works Department installed them and the council is responsible for their function. The lights were installed a little more than two years ago following a $2,500 funding effort by the Revitalize Belle Fourche Committee.
